Pyramid Solitaire: learn through an example
Take a moment with Pyramid Solitaire before moving to another game. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.
Something to practise
Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.
What you need to achieve
Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Notice how the game responds to your input.
Making your moves
- Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
- Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
- Draw when useful.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
The controls to know
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.
A useful example
An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Choose a deliberate next step.
A mistake to avoid
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
